MEET ROB MCCLELLAND
Rob McClelland is a hands-on Hill Country conservative running for Hays County Commissioner, Precinct 4.

Rob McClelland is a hands-on Hill Country conservative running for Hays County Commissioner, Precinct 4. He currently serves as a trustee on the Dripping Springs ISD Board and was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas School Safety Center Board, which advises state leadership on school safety and security. Rob is also Director of Business Development at a Central Texas construction firm that works across the Austin–San Antonio corridor.
A South Texas native, Rob served 12 years as a U.S. Army officer, earning the Bronze Star, Combat Action Badge, and the Presidential Service Badge. He later served as a logistics officer in the White House.
Here at home, Rob is the DSISD Board’s liaison to the Safety & Security Committee and serves on the Hays County Sheriff’s Office Training Advisory Board. He is also active in local faith and service circles, including as a deacon at his home church.
Hays County is one of America’s fastest growing counties. Growth brings real strain on roads, water, and public safety.
Rob’s focus is simple: protect the Hill Country, meet infrastructure needs, and make growth serve the people... not the other way around.

Back the Sheriff, Constables, EMS, and Fire with staffing, training, and equipment. Target faster response times in high-growth areas. Support school safety coordination.
Responsible Stewardship of Taxpayer Dollars
Keep county government efficient, taxes low, and invest wisely in our community’s essential needs.
Fix the Basics
Prioritize safe, well-maintained county roads and bridges, address traffic challenges and hazardous infrastructure, and work with developers on projects in addressing the impact of growth on our transportation system.
Protect Hill Country
Protect the Texas Hill Country’s natural beauty and resources by working for responsible growth, safeguarding our water supply, and preserving the landscapes and character that define our community.
